Trekking Components

A variety of immersive adventure experiences are designed to draw out individual uniqueness and the potential ability of team effort. The Trekking Components take the educational elements of the classroom into different dimensions and integrate them in relevant ways. Learning continues no matter where you are.

Each adventure will challenge how a group makes decisions, how they take in information, how they communicate and how they relate to others. Whether applied on an Urban Trekk, explored through wilderness orienteering, or immersed in third space navigation, the lessons of shared experience and guide led integration will illuminate your learning unlike any other adventure.

Trekking Components include
Orienteering	Requires navigational skills using a map, compass and point to point racing, over unfamiliar terrain.
Geocaching	A treasure-hunting game using a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver to hide and seek containers in various, diverse settings.
Urban Trekk	Using elements of the above, a point to point race in an urban setting where people and buildings are used to get from point to point.
Leadership Challenges	Team based puzzles, riddles or simple tasks which challenge participants intellectually, or physically to draw out uniqueness.
Service Opportunity	Offering direct service to a local community to meet a particular need.
Humanitarian Cause	An opportunity to work with those in a third world country to meet some form of basic human need - food, shelter, clothing.
